Before you read anything else, if you like posing Transformers, go buy this toy now while it’s still in stores! Scoop and his “Targetmaster” companions are extremely obscure characters for anyone who grew up on the cartoon alone and not the comics (like me). In fact, if he was ever on the show, I can’t tell you. My main initial reasons for purchasing him was his rare color scheme and the fact that he’s a Targetmaster. After opening him from his packaging, I was treated to an extremely cool action figure.
He is so dynamically posable, when ever I play with him I have fun.
More than likely, you’re gonna have him holding is guns constantly so you won’t notice that his wrist has no swivel. Only other minor gripe is no ankle pivot. Even still, he cares not about haters hating.
As posable as he is….his partners are bricks aside from their ball jointed shoulders.
Holepunch is the blue guy and Caliburst is Mr. Orange helmet.
They actually are sculpted well with unsightly triggers stuck to their inner calves.
For poops and giggles, here they are minus the triggers.
Their main feature, and the only feature you’ll probably use is their gun mode.
Not only can they fit in any of the ports on his body but they also can combine to form 1 mega gun.
Now you might be interested in his vehicle mode…
It’s a construction vehicle. It rolls well. Let me tell you that, lol. With those big wheels it better. Unfortunately he doesn’t peg well together. Moving that scoop leaves a gap in the front of his vehicle mode. It also lifts his cockpit sometimes exposing his face….which his always seen anyway inside. You can make him a little more interesting though by plugging in his guns.
At the end the day, he’s gonna stay in robot mode and I really like em. Here’s more pics of some added details and comparisons.
